Needle Felted Cocker Spaniel

My other half has been happy this week as my latest needle felting project has silenced all my usual constant babbling and waffling on about anything and everything.

I've worked very hard on making this little Cocker Spaniel. He began his existence as a wolf. Well, that's what I intended on making. But he insisted he was meant to be a Cocker Spaniel. So, here he is :) Woof!

His listing is in my Etsy shop here: Needle Felted Cocker Spaniel by Mrs Plop's Shoppe

Gladys Mouse Has A Blue Rinse

"Ooh me hair" said Gladys Mouse. "I can't do a bloomin thing with it"
So I took her to the hairdresser.
"What are we doing for you today Gladys?" Said the hairdresser.
"I'd like a blue rinse and a perm please"
Shhhhh don't tell Gladys but I think the hairdresser overdid the blue a bit!

When I was 14, I had pink hair. My nan was appalled and embarrassed by my hair and told all her friends she didn't know who I was. Strange coming from a woman who had a purple rinse!

A History in Love Letters #1

This post is a bit off-topic, but I went to the local car boot sale yesterday and found this gorgeous embroidered post card from a man to his wife.

It's so beautifully made, intricate and so much work has gone into it. It's dated December 13th 1916, obviously from a soldier to his wife.

The writing is hard to read but it says this: My dear wife, Just a few lines hoping you are still mine. With love, Will.
How lovely is that?! I really hope she was still his!

Although I've never been much of a collector, I'm going to be collecting these vintage love postcards and letters from different eras and I will post them here x

RAWWRR!

Needle felted lion. The Mane is an Alpaca wool and silk mix. I got a bit scissor happy but then I decided I actually like the 'choppy' look of his mane.

Needle felted Staffordshire Bull Terrier

This needle felted brown and white staffy is made from brown and white wool, with glass beads for his eyes. He has a gingham ribbon in purple and black around his neck.

If you would like to order one of these felted staffies, please see the listing in my shop here: Needle felted Staffie Mrs Plops Shoppe When ordering, please keep in mind that this felted dog is handmade, so please allow 2 weeks for me to make him for you.

Everyone loves puppies! But there are enough abandoned dogs in rescues all over the world without anyone needing to buy a puppy....Don't buy a puppy! rescue a puppy or a dog instead! (or buy a felted puppy, like this one!)

Even if you do the right thing and rescue a dog or a puppy, please make sure you can keep your dog for the rest of its life!

I have made this Staffy with all the love in my heart for all abandoned Staffys, who have done nothing to deserve what they face every single day :(
