Beatrice The Little Ballerina Mouse

Meet needle felted little Beatrice ballerina mouse. She found this beautiful pink tulle tutu that her Aunty Linda at Fluffy Cloud Creations made. And now she's taking ballet lessons.

She tells everyone she meets that she's going to be a famous ballerina one day. she has little pink felted ballet shoes, and as you can see, she's learning how to dance en pointe. Clever mouse :)

Beatrice has been lovingly handmade by me from very high quality British ethically produced wool fibre, and is available for sale in my Etsy shop here: Beatrice The Little Ballerina Mouse by Mrs Plop's Shoppe.

Popcorn The Needle Felted Kitten

Meet Popcorn, the needle felted orange and white kitten.
The mouselings all got the first flight to Mouseling Island this morning when they heard Popcorn was coming to stay! You know Mouseling Island, where mice go when cats are around. Popcorn said she wouldn't hurt the mice and only wanted to be friendly, but with that naughty face, we're not buying it! :D Come home soon Mouselings!

Popcorn is available to buy in my Etsy shop. You can see her listing here: Popcorn The Needle Felted Kitten by Mrs Plop's Shoppe

Needle Felted Tiny Little Summer Sunflower Hamster

I wanted to offer something in my Etsy shop that is a little less costly. As you no doubt already know, needle felting is a very time consuming art, and although my prices are in line with some other needle felters, it's nice to have something in my shop that costs a bit less but that doesn't compromise on quality. So, I made this teeny tiny little hamster.

I usually use a core wool for my felted animals, and then I felt in an outer 'fur' wool. But for this hamster, I didn't use core wool. Also, he doesn't have feet (hands and feet are one of the most time consuming parts for me. Some people use polymer clay feet or cut out hands and feet from a piece of ready made felt. I prefer the hands and feet to be needle felted)  It doesn't make too much difference though, as he is still able to stand, and it means I was able to list him at a lower price. It was obviously still time consuming, but I did manage to cut back on the time it took to make him.

Little Carmen Miranda Needle Felted Mouse Wearing A Tutti Frutti Fruit Hat Vintage Style

My latest needle felted creation. I hope you like her :) Love, Mrs Plop xx

This little mouse adores Carmen Miranda! She loves to play dress-up and she has been busy! She has gathered fruits and collected jewels, a few treasures that she found washed up on the beach from a shipwreck :) And with these she has made a tutti frutti fruit hat, just like her idol Carmen Miranda. The necklace she found is a little bit long across her little fat tummy, but she loves it anyway, and the tiny gold rings she's found are perfect as bangles.

She is completely OOAK (one of a kind) there will never be another one like her.

She is for sale in my Etsy shop here: Little Carmen Miranda Mouse by Mrs Plop's Shoppe

Custom Order Needle Felted Budgerigar Bird

Latest order finished yesterday :) I was asked to make a needle felted budgie for a lady in the US. He is the first budgie I've made, and the second bird I've made, the other one being a penguin. I'm happy with the way he turned out.....

His legs and claws were tricky to do, and kind of had me thinking so hard at one point that my brain just sort of shut down temporarily, as it does when I think too hard lol! :D I tried pipe cleaners at first, and quickly realised that was a no go, it just looked all wrong. But thankfully wire did the trick, lots of bending & twisting of wire, and covering with flesh coloured wool sorted it out.....Tada! El budgio :)

If you would like a custom order of any type of needle felted animal, please see my little Shoppe on Etsy here:  Mrs Plop's Shoppe
